I think your file names are very cool. I simply just forget to save mine :(

what you need is google desktop
the thing is basically a genius
it scans all yr documents and such, and then when you need something you can search yr own computer as if you were searching the web
so you can just throw a few key words from yr essay and google desktop will find it. no need to know the file names etc

That's what Spotlight does for Mac. It's brilliant. If you can think of any word used in the document then it'll find it for you. I never knew what that little magnifying glass was in the corner of my screen, now that I know, I rarely worry about folders and organisation and those boring things.
