Dorcas Meadows drove Remus nutters. He had gotten used to their odd relationship, and that there was no way he was getting rid of her, but always when he least expected it, something would happen and he wondered if she was deliberately doing it.
Today it was a yellow minidresss and shiny black pleather boots. He was normally the lat person to notice clothes, which is how he didn’t notice until he was sitting across from her in the Order meeting, stuck between Sirius and Peter.
Dorcas was using a chess board to illustrate some current Death Eater strategy or another, or maybe one they were supposed to be using against the Death Eaters, secret warfare of one sort or the other, but he could not focus. Or rather, he could focus, but really only on the way the shiny black boots hugged her calves and the teasing yellow cloth that accentuated her crossed legs.
Sirius burst out laughing, which made the lecturing ex-Ravenclaw stop mid-statement. “And thus...are you even paying attention, Sirius Black?”
Sirius grinned and ran a hand through his hair. “I am, but I don’t think your boyfriend is, Dora.”
Remus flushed and looked up, after elbowing Sirius hard.
Dorcas fixed him with blue eyes. “What was the last thing I said, Remus?”
“And thus.” Remus answered, mentally cursing Sirius in his head as everyone burst out laughing.
