Trance vibe vs. Windows Vista x64

So I have started getting support emails - “Hey, how do I get your hardware to work in Vista?” Seeming invariably to be the 64-bit version. That’s weird, as far as I know there is a 64-bit build of the drivers included…

Hardware side hack sounds like it might leave computer vulnerable to other unsigned drivers, which may or may not be a good thing. Can you get it to pretend to be some other signed USB thing or would that be stealing? I can't believe the lameness of M$

Then it would be just like Vista 32, XP, 2000, ... . That option would require technical knowhow and access to a non-Vista machine to send the firmware update, so it would be mostly limited to people who know what they're doing and understand the potential risks involved. Of course, until everyone's doing it, writing a malicious driver in the hopes that a specific piece of obscure hardware disables the signing check on a per-session basis would be like writing viruses for the Mac ( ... )
