Back from Chibicon

Chibicon was so amazing! I cosplayed Finland from Hetalia and had lots of fun! I also had a cosplay partner, my friend was cosplaying Sweden.

My con day went nicely. I spent the night before then con at my friend's place with 4 other people. We woke up at 5 AM or something and started putting on our cosplays. We took a taxi to the bus stations because it was so cold outside (almost -30 C at some point of the day), luckily it didn't cost so much when everybody paid for their own trip.

After about 3 hours in the bus we arrived in Kuopio. We made our way to the place where the con was held. We got there just in time for the cosplay contest. Sadly, the cosplays there weren't very good D: There were a couple of nice costumes but nothing super good. Last year's Chibicon had so much better cosplays! And there weren't any amazing costumes outside of the contest either... Maybe it was because it was so cold outside, or because the con-goers we're mostly suprisingly young this year.

After the contest me and my Sweden just walked around. I was suprised at how many people wanted to take a picture of us or hug us. All the time there was somebody asking for a picture or a hug. We had so many fans XD There was this one girl (and her group of friends) who were pretty fanatic. They even run to us over a street when we were taking pictures with this really nice Russia cosplayer and hugged us.

The Russia cosplayer was really tall, by the way. Like 2 meters or something. And he lifted me on his shoulders (kinda wife carrying style [Not the Estonian way though...XDDD]) and we took some pictures. It was really much fun to be up there!

I also played Stepmania with my Swe. I didn't do very well (Got B-), because it was my first time dancing that song (Dancing Samurai) and I forgot to take off my wool socks so I had to be careful not to slip.

Sweden and I also participated in the FFFight! FFFight is a Finnish show that's really popular in conventions. It's a turn based "fight" show. The attacks can be anything from cool to funny, and they don't even need to be proper attacks, you can attack by hugging, for example (though that move is horribly overused and boring). But anyways, we were really nervous about participating. It was my first time and Swe's... fourth or something? We were against Korea and Akihiko from Persona 4. Well, I think it went pretty well even though poor Swe tripped when we got attacked D : People laughed and cheered at our attacks and we won the voting (that was done by the audience cheering at their favourite team).

After we had done our part, it was time for other people's fights. There were these awesome Poland and Russia (the same one that I talked about earlier). They had practised their fight for a long time and their attacks were awesome. They even had historical facts in them. * A *

After the con we went to my friend's place where my Swe changed back to her normal clothes. After that we headed for Hesburger to eat, and finally to the con's afterparty. I chatted with people and played Alias (the word explaining game). At some point, we also played a round of tentacle monster. I was one of the monsters, and we won the game. (DABSBUDASHA I LOST THE GAME D:)

By then it was starting to get a bit late, so ex-Swe and one of my friends, Anna, left. I and Laura, who provided me a place to sleep, stayed. I learnt that there was a "disco" upstairs, so we went to check it out. The disco room wasn't super big, but it had a mirror wall, dj, colourful lights and a fog machine. When we first went there, there was just a couple of people besides us two, and soon they left too. Laura and I went wild and danced crazily XD I mean, how often do you get to have a disco room with your own private DJ? XDDD

After dancing a while we decided to ask our friends to join us. They did, and some other people came too. We danced and had fun. It was amazing and awesome and fun and... everything! :''D The music was great too, they even played "Just be friends". Sadly, me and Laura had to leave at 11 PM to catch the bus to Laura's house. After making the beds I just kinda collapsed there and slept like a log.

We woke up before eight in the morning and ate, showered and took the bus back to the centre. We walked to Anna's place where we just chatted about the con and everything. I think that Jantsu, who was also there, felt a bit alienated because he was the only boy... XD
Well, at 12 it was time for us to catch the bus and travel back to Savonlinna. I felt really sad to say goodbye to everyone, but the fun always has to end.

Overall, the whole trip was awesome. I really hope that Chibicon will be held soon again! <3 Thanks to everybody who took a picture, hugged me or just spent time with me.

If you actually read this all, I appreciate your patience. Thank you. :''D
