What an unexpected in a lovely way ending! I loved the whole story. Nice, light touch in showing Bruce's punishment of himself and the way he eases up under the double concern of Alfred and Dick. Forcing himself to do things for Dick winds up letting them care for him and letting him care for himself, connecting Dick to the time before.

This story was inspired by a fanart I saw on a blog, which pictures Dick waving back at Bruce under the sun. The artist also added a few lines of drabble-like words of Dick thinking if he couldn't drag Bruce back to light, he would go into darkness with him.
Hell, the picture and the words gave me bittersweet heartache for nearly a week and my muse finally beat me to write this. (And I also got the same injury Bruce got at that time):P
