Hermione Costume Update
Okay so I've decided to go with black tights... and as the last minute charlie that I am, I found the most ah-dorable black flats for $25. In addition to gathering pretty much everything I need, I decided to make all the stuff that I can't find to purchase anywhere in time. Although I still need a messanger bag. ugh. Well... Everything is HERE.
The group I'm going to with the book premere is made up of four people. Here is a lovely list telling you who each person is, and who they will be playing. Not that you really care or anything.
Phil (My boyfriend)- Harry Potter
Me - Hermione Granger
Jared - Ron Weasley
Sammy - Lavender Brown
Honestly, I can't wait! Its going to be so much fun. Hearing all these spoilers makes me wonder what is really going to happen in the book. Less than a week. Whoot! Okay, on to the costume.

THE O.W.L.S. THAT WE FAILED:
Firstly, our attempt to dye Phil's hair darker, failed. I'm not sure why, but we're just going to use black hair spray stuff... any other suggestions?
Also Sam and I purchased a blond wig (we couldn't find a red one anywhere) for Jared, cause he has brown hair and not orange. (He won't dye his hair so.) We tried dying the wig, and the dye didn't stick... so. Does anyone know if you can dye wigs? Or where to buy a Ronaldish looking wig fast?
THE O.W.L.S. THAT WE PASSED:
We got all the props that we need... nothing great... nothing much. We went to michaels (arts and crafts) and picked up a few things.
I decided to make S.P.E.W. pins (20 of them) and give them out at the book premere for people to wear. I just think that its very Hermioneish.. and that's what she would do.. trying to support a good cause. I bought 20 round wood disks and spray-painted them all green (front and back). Then I got paint markers, (gold and yellow) and painted on the letters. Their pretty cute if you ask me. Take a look vvvvvv
Next I decided that I needed a prefects badge, and a quill. So I bought all the stuff, and made my own. vvvvvv
Thennnn I decided that I needed a case for my want. I couldn't resist. I made matching ones for my friends. lol. They have a coustumized button on each side. vvvvvvvvvv
