Alphas s1 ep3

HOLY SHIT OPENING STROBELIGHT SEQUENCE.

This episode was excellent. I was afraid that ep2 was a fluke, but apparently the character development is here to stay.

RIP Wilson. You were a bit of an asshole, but after Rachel's comment about how you always smelled of stomach acid and Tums, we get that you were under a lot of stress.

I wonder if the agent responsible will become a recurring character? It's a little doubtful, since he wasn't named, but it's as good an entry as any

Rosen is trying awfully hard to keep everyone on the team, and thanks to ep2, we know why - if he lets them leave, the feds probably send them to Binghamton. It's kind of chilling seeing how many Alphas he's had to send there over the years, and I really feel for him. It makes his try-too-hard-nice-psychologist moments more bearable.

Speculation here: I bet he wasn't a psychologist to begin with, just a scientist studying a strange phenomenon. Then he got contracted by the government and got stuck.

I doubt Rosen believes his own spiel about the helpfulness of Binghamton, especially after Marcus broke out and confronted him about it.

That bit at the end, with Hicks knocking out the transmitter for Gary was so sweet! More speculation here, but I think he's starting to view Gary as a surrogate kid of sorts.

Lastly, Nina and Rachel! If I had femmeslash goggles, I would ship these two. As it is, I see the beginnings of a sisterly bond. :P
