hm okay.

none of this went through my mind while i was trying to get the guy to buy crack from tim. he actually started talking to me and i think we made him feel good that we actually gave a damn about who he was. because if you were listening, we were all siding with this nugguh. and i even offered to give him a skateboard.

but i only had a dollar and cigarettes.

next time i will see about giving him a bed.

jordan, they choose to be that way for the most part, anyone can go out and get a job like the rest of us and start cleaning up their act.. it's people that give them money and cigarettes and things like that that make them think, hey, its okay to be here getting money from random strangers who all work for it. well i dont think that it is okay, i dont see why i should have to give up the money that i earned to them because they are too lazy or too caught up in their addictions to do anything about it, if they are out there it is because they chose to be out there.. directly or indirectly, i have never had respect or compassion for homeless people, and i never will

Who's to say they can get a job with no personal records? Who's to say they got to a homeless state because they chose to be that way? You are assuming things.

Some homeless people are mentally handicapped, meaning that they can't really get a job.

the fact of the matter is:you don't know anything about if you haven't walked in their shoes.

the mental ill can get jobs anywhere, i have seen many mentally ill people with jobs, if they don't have personal records they must have really fucked up somewhere along the road.. you do choose to be that way, if you work hard enough you can do anything you want, they are just pampered by society to the point where they think it is okay to beg other people for the money they actually work for when all they do is sit on their ass and beg all day and night

What about the attitudes of others? If you were responsible for hiring people, would you give them a job?

If somebody with your attitude towards homeless people was considering hiring a person like that, would he/she have a good chance of getting a job?

When people look at bums, they forget that they're not looking at a piece of shit; they're looking at a human being.
