BTDT

We were part of the group Trumps of Amber, which presented at Torcon.

Exhilarating, but scary when you realize the implications.

I saw some of those costumes at Noreascon IV. Julian's spoon armor was great.

Andy spent large chunks of the con connecting the spoons.

chriso saw very little of the con as she spent most of her time in our room sewing my costume

I did the impossible by quilting my leather bits together using metallic thread. Which survived the construction process and the masq, but looked like hell when we unboxed it take to Norwescon, so it didn't' go.

At least we were done before heading to the green room. Tina Connell was still working on the roses of Byron's costume.

Is it wrong that I'm wondering whether a decent Lord of Light presentation is possible? I know decent costumes could be made, especially with the cheap tech available now, but the presentation...

How does one pull off a serious presentation? I'm not sure I've ever seen one I've cared for.

I've already been bitten by an idea for two years from now, agreed to help a friend with her costume for next year, and am considering creating another costume, even though I wouldn't be the one wearing it.
