javabean_dreams nudged me! So I'm writing.
I watched the inauguration with my family. I cried! I was touched. I loved it.
There were parts of it that made me laugh, though. Actually, the two parts that stand out the most were with the pastors.

And I totally agree with you about starting to like the country again. I've been thinking about learning the metric system and booking it to Canada for years now, and now I feel like it won't be too bad if I stick around a while longer. It really is a good feeling. :)
