A/N: This might be a little sad. I just felt like writing something sad, because there's that part of me that knows that one day, my fandom will break. The fangirls will weep and protest, and one day the two will look back and say to their kids and grandkids and great grand kids and great-great grand-kids, "When we were in Super Junior, our fans desperately wanted us to get together..."
And, one day, I hope that never happens.
Heechul knows how much Hankyung's happiness is to him. On the day of their 8th anniversary of Super Junior being together, the Chinese man brought home a woman. She was very pretty and slender, and had orange hair like Heechul's. Her name? He didn't remember. He just remembers Hankyung's smile on his face and the love in his eyes.
Three years later, after Super Junior disbanded and they all went their separate ways, Heechul found himself constantly in touch with Hankyung. He often went drinking soju with him, not talking much at all, but their silence spoke so many words. He kept in touch with the other members, but cherished Hankyung's time with him the most. They stopped touching and hugging and holding hands so much, because, after all, that was only for the fans.
There is one particular day he remembers the most. Hankyung brought along the girl who Heechul could not remember the name of, the girl with the pretty face and thin lips, and the orange hair like Heechul's. Heechul was no doubt upset, because it was Hankyung and Heechul time, not Hankyung, Heechul, and Hankyung's girlfriend time.
He did not show this on his face, and seemed very happy throughout the night. He did not talk much, and it was mostly Hankyung and the girl Heechul did not know the name to talking. After a while, Hankyung pulled something out his pocket and got on one knee.
Then, Heechul cried the whole way home.
Nearly a week later, it was all over the news. "Ex-Super Junior member is getting married!" Heechul read all of the articles, the pictures of his friend, just a friend, with her, holding hands. He scrolled down, and saw many comments that read, "Heechul-oppa! Stay strong!" or "Was it really all just for fanservice? All those years..."
Then, Heechul found himself doubting his past actions.
The date was scheduled for Hankyung's wedding with the girl who he did not the name to. Even though he had read so many articles, he did not care or bother to remember the name. The date was a few days after Heechul's birthday, and he was not sure Hankyung remembered. The Chinese man called Heechul and asked him, "Heechul-hyung," Heechul found it sad he stopped calling him just Heechul. "Will you be my best man?"
Then, Heechul did not know what to do.
In a very hesitant tone, he grunted a yes. The other man did not notice, and was very happy. "Thank you! The colors are white, dedicated to Leeteuk! Please be at the rehearsal this Saturday!" This Saturday was Heechul's birthday. Heechul nodded, and told him he would be there.
The Saturday of the rehearsal dinner, Heechul entered the door to Hankyung's dressing room. Hankyung looked very handsome in his clean, crisp white tuxedo. Heechul was not surprised; he had always seen Hankyung like this. He sat on the edge of the red couch as he watched the younger one fix his hair.
"How does that look hyung?" he asked.
Heechul laughed, because the dongsaeng's tie was crooked. He got up, and leaned in closer to the other, adjusting the tie. Hankyung smelled sweet, like candy, and Heechul could hear his heart beating very fast. He looked up, meeting the other's eyes, and leaned in, letting their lips touch, just for a moment.
"Just one last time. My birthday present," Heechul whispers very softly.
He could feel Hankyung shift very slightly, and Heechul took two steps back. The younger man opened his mouth to speak, but closed it again. "You're getting married. Don't doubt this," he says very simply. They both walked out the dressing room, acting as nothing had happened. Nothing at all.
The wedding went on, of course. Why would it be stopped for a kiss? Fanservice for his heart, that's what Heechul reminds himself. The day the wedding came, all thirteen Super Junior members were there. The ceremony was very quick, trying to avoid any hidden paparazzi whatsoever. Heechul seemed very calm as he stood next to Hankyung, who was waiting for his soon-to-be wife to walk down the aisle. Heechul bit his lip throughout the whole service and by the time they said 'I do', it was red and puffy.
The twelve of them, with the exception of Hankyung, were placed at the table next to the bride and groom at the reception. The table's laughter was the loudest of them all, and it seemed that they were back to their debut days. Hankyung seemed very quiet at the other table, sitting with the girl with no name, and the couple's parents. Heechul realized Hankyung was the first of the group to get married, while the others each had long-term girlfriends or could not find a woman at all. He looked back on their days as Super Junior, and wondered how much of the fan service was just for fans. He looked from Kangin to Leeteuk, then to Yesung and Ryeowook, then to Kibum to Donghae to Eunhyuk. He looked beside him for Siwon, and then Kyuhyun to Sungmin to Shindong. Lastly, he looked at Hankyung. He held the gaze for a long time, until Hankyung turned his head, and their eyes clashed.
Thunder roared, and rain began to fall.
"When it rains," Siwon said, causing Heechul to break his gaze with Hankyung, "They say God is not happy."
Heechul cocked his head, and began to retaliate, "Aish... you know I don't believe in God."
"Especially during a wedding," he continues, ignoring Heechul's comment. "They say that means the wrong people have been married, and God is not happy. The rain represents the angels crying."
Throughout the reception, Heechul could not take his mind off what Siwon said. He continued to frequently check on Hankyung's table, making sure he was occupied. Heechul smiled to himself whenever his friend looked happy. That's why he was there, to support his friend in everlasting happiness.
Then, there was a time for speeches, Heechul and the other eleven stood up, and raised their glasses. Each took turns saying something about Hankyung. They talked about the times during Super Junior, and after it ended. They talked about how Hankyung was horrible at Korean, and they hoped his wife could understand him.
When it was Heechul's turn, he played with the wine glass in his hand. He bit his lip again, and searched around for the right words. He lifted up his head, to look at the groom directly in the eye. "Hankyung," he started out. "I love you." Heechul said it simply, and he raised his glass, and the other members did so also. Together, they all yelled, "I love you!" Hankyung wiped his eyes with the sleeve of his tuxedo, and said shakily, "I love you guys also."
After countless hours of partying, nearly all the guests were gone, and only the Super Junior crew were still there. They were reminiscing with Hankyung, whose wife was in the dressing room, getting her makeup off. One by one, the friends left. They said goodbye, and Leeteuk, who continued being the umma, yelled at them, saying it was not goodbye, because they would see each other soon. First it was Kibum, who had lines to remember. From there, it was Sungmin, Yesung, Ryeowook, Kangin and Leeteuk (who left with each other), Kyuhyun, Shindong, Donghae, Eunhyuk, and lastly Siwon. Soon, only Heechul and Hankyung were left.
They were not quiet this time around, and continued talking. They talked about that time on Ya Shim Man Man, when Heechul raped Hankyung's face. They also talked about Full House, with all their pranks and Heechul's failed English. Heechul mentioned he missed Hankyung's Beijing fried rice everyday he went out to eat. Hankyung said he hoped that Heechul would take care of himself, and that he missed HanJayHeebum.
Hankyung's eyes showed much happiness, more than earlier. On a whim, Heechul began to sing,
"The days we spent together, I do.
Everyday, my heart was thankful, I do.
Would you have married me?"
And Hankyung whispered, just enough that Heechul could hear, "I do."
A/N: The ending is totally up to you. Hankyung ditches his wife and has rabid sex with Heechul? Go for it. Hankyung, knowing that he has already made a life commitment to this woman, can only regret the decision he made? Go for it. If you don't understand when Heechul sang, it's one of the very last lines of Marry U, except in past tense. Also, I know it's pretty bad, and there's some loopholes. I write whatever's on my mind, and I hate rereading it or else I'll get angry and just trash it all!
