Title: ...And Then There Was The Time...

"...and then there was the time that you came storming into the kitchen, all rumpled and half-awake with your toothbrush hanging out of your mouth, yelling at Donghae and Hyukjae for drawing alien maps on the bathroom mirror. Then there was the time..." Eeteuk nods appreciatively and runs his fingers through Kangin's hair as he continues to talk, only stopping to take an almighty gulp of air so as to prevent suffocation.
"Hyung?" Ryeowook wanders into the dark living room, looks from Eeteuk and Kangin to the beer bottles on the coffee table to the muted, flickering TV screen and back to the couple on the couch, the younger of whom continues to speak, despite the interruption. "Hyung?" He repeats, his voice thick with sleep, “What's going on? I thought you were going to bed."
"Yes, well,” Eeteuk offers the eternal magnae a soft smile. "I'm afraid I'm stuck here until Kangin finishes telling me about all the times that he fell in love with me."
"Oh." Ryeowook cocks his head to the side and contemplates them for a moment. "That's rather sweet, but -"
"I'm gonna kick his ass if he doesn't quiet the hell down!" Yesung raves in a hysterical stage-whisper, grabbing Ryeowook's wrist and dragging him back down the pitch-black hallway, “Some of us are trying to sleep here!"
"...you followed him around grinning like a freaky statue until he gave it back and didn't come over to our dorm for, like, a week and then there was the time you told Yesung to fuck off because he was interrupting me telling you about how I fell in love with you and just kept falling and falling and falling, like the time..." Eeteuk shakes his head with a soft chuckle.
"Once you get started, there's just no stopping you, is there?"
#5 - Overworked - Ryeowook/Kibum
Title: Overworked (What? We can't all be inspired all the time!)

You feel sorry for him, what with all the catching up he has to do. You make a last-minute decision and opt to stay at the studio with him, help teach him the dance moves that the rest of you have had months to practice. “I'm not the best dancer,” you tell him, “but, if you want...” He smiles sheepishly and nods his thanks.
It is just past two in the morning when he sinks to the ground, resting all of his weight against the wall. You sit down next to him and hand him a bottled water. “Thank you,” he whispers hoarsely, “...for everything.” You just smile and close your eyes, let your head fall back against the mirrors. The two of you remain in a comfortable silence for some time, and it is not until his head drops onto your shoulder that you realize he's fallen asleep. You chuckle and gingerly rest your cheek against the top of his head.
"You'll do great."
“Hmm? Wha? Oh!” His head snaps up and he gives you this Look like he hopes he hasn’t mortally offended you. “I-I’m sorry Kibum! I just-” You chuckle again and ruffle his hair. You feel more like his hyung than his dongsaeng.
“You’ll do great, Ryeowook-hyung.”
#85 - Ache - Shindong/Donghae
Title: But I Love Him

A/N: Kibum's Disney name should have been Dumbo I am extremely fond of Kibum's big ears. That be all.
"It's like having your heart walked all over." Donghae complains listlessly and Shindong starts at the younger's sudden appearance on the other end of the couch. "It's also like being a ticking time-bomb: ready to explode whenever." There are dark circles under Donghae's freakishly blank eyes. Even his slumped, lifeless posture is indicative of his broken spirit. "Heechul doesn't love him as much as I do." Donghae continues. "He never will. I bet Heechul wouldn't give up his life for Kibum. I would. I bet Heechul wouldn't even give up his pretty face for Kibum. I'd jump off a cliff if Kibum asked me to."
"Don't say that." It is Donghae's turn to jump. He turns to look at Shindong like he hadn't even noticed that the couch had another occupant. Shindong shifts closer to Donghae, grabbing the other boy and pulling him into a bear hug. "Don't ever say that. Don't think it."
"I love Kibum."
"No shit, kiddo."
"Heechul doesn't love Kibum as much as I do."
"Maybe not. Look," Donghae snuggles into Shindong instead, hiding his face in Shindong's chest. "It's okay to be upset or angry or whatever, but none of this 'jumping off cliffs' stuff, 'kay?" No answer. "Donghae, promise."
"Fine, no cliff-jumping."
"No bridges or buildings either."
"You're a cheater."
"Yeah, well, deal with it. You're not going to prove to Kibum how much he means to you by making yourself into an alien pancake."
"I'm not an alien! The aliens are -"
"Sure kid, when pigs fly. Or when Princess Priss gives up his face for Dumbo." Donghae smiles for the first time in what feels like forever as Shindong ruffles his hair.
"Thanks."
