Do people really still do the while 'resolution' thing? I haven't made any in years. Too much instability in life, I suppose.

Maybe you should start.

Last one I made was that I wouldn't gain weight and I put on ten by the start of spring.

That was your first mistake: never make weight-related goals.

Sorta the point innit? Put stability in your life.

I think I used to do it mostly because it's something my dad did.

Kinda the reason a lot of us do things, I think.

I mostly just never understood why you had to wait for a single day to make them. It seems like it's putting far too much pressure on things, particularly given how holidays tend to go.

It really is. It's so depressing when they don't even last a week, but really, they're something people should strive for no matter the time of year.

Exactly! You can always work on something. I mean, even if it's not yourself you're working on improving. If anything people ought to be working on them at a time of year when there isn't really anything else happening. Boredom's great for that sort of thing.

Never made much sense to me. Of course, never really got the hang of linear years.

Not a lot of things make sense about humans, huh?

Years of study and I still don't quite get you.
