The state of my social life

This is a huge brain-dump, probably entirely babble.

I've been really busy, lately. It feels wonderful.
Honestly, the biggest issue I've had since starting to live in Boston was the free time. I had a job and an apartment and classes, but that was it. I didn't have a life here, just an occupation. And I continued to not have a life for a very ( Read more... )

Having lived with Tall Mike for a year I can successfully say that no, it's not too late. He and Carl didn't talk much until around Carnival, at which point Carl's take was "It didn't work. We were different and maybe if we were in the same place, it would have." So yeah, Mike would love to hear from you. He likes you, you know.

i think you should contact him- do it while you have the chance- I think if I was in your situation, I would deeply regret not being able to just thank him for the memories, and let him know that he is in your thoughts. do not have a reason. do not plan your conversation. I'm also absolutely horrible at keeping in touch with people and although I have regretted losing contact with some people in the past, I've come to realise that I will naturally keep in touch with people i care about, and if it's not coming naturally then it's probably just that that person's not that important to me. this only came after i realised that the quality of my friendships were more important than the quantity :P
