Not home (to internet cafe, actually, but it was too noisy for me to stay long, so went shopping instead), but managed to fit in a little more Japanese lessons on the podcasts. To be honest, I don't know how long I can keep listening. Oh, I do want to understand Japanese, but this seems to be harder work than I've anticipated, and I can't really convince myself to keep going. (Nope, to understand Japanese shows doesn't seem to be as great an incentive as it used to be.) I'm not that good at language anyway. Heck, I have problem with my own native language, and my English is just passable, despite going to school for years in the U.S.
I think one of the problems with my language learning is I prefer to read and write much more than to speak and listen. But every Japanese textbook (admittedly not a lot) I ever come across somehow never appeals to me. (Yes, I've bought one or two textbooks, but I gave them away because, for some reason I can't specify, I just wasn't comfortable with the way the exercises were presented.) I would probably be in trouble if I really think of going to the language school, because somehow I sense they would have taught me Japanese by using those textbooks I don't like.
Speaking of shopping, I bought DVD cases for those Ultraman discs I brought with me from the U.S. (Still looking for the red cases for the MEBIUS discs.) But I...ah...somehow wasn't careful enough and bought the lower quality cases. (Yeah, blinded by the bargain I'd thought I got.) I'm tempted to give up and just put the discs back in spindles, but perhaps I should wait until the place I originally wanted to buy from re-stock the cases (they ran out, and I made up my mind that today I would get the cases, hence buying from a shop I've never dealt with). Oh well, at least the DVD covers (for the ones having the cases) would not get very creased now that I can insert them into their cases.
