I bought my wedding dress tonight. I'm so excited I can't even write right now. It's perfect. I'll write a whole long, emotional spiel about it later. But I bought the dress. And it is THE dress.http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?

Beautiful! Are you getting the same veil too?

Nope. I LOVE that style of veil...but it's not me. I got a champagne color long, floor legnth veil, and another champagne veil with a slight edging that falls juts below my shoulders...two veils..I know it sounds weird, but it looks neat.

Thanks!

My experience was good - the consultant they assigned me was a couple years younger than me and we had actually gone to high school together, so it was so easy. She was great!

I got this one: http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2340&prodgroup=127

Awwwwh. I loved that one in the picture and I actually tried it on too! It didn't look as good on me though because of all the chub on my hips and thieghs...but that will look stunning on you. I really love it! :)

I'm not too much a fan of the mantanilla style veils, but the dress is wow. Make sure whomever is doing your alterations is damn good though because they could mess up the patterns otherwise.

Thanks. I'm going to wait on the alterations, because if I lose enough weight, I can just go exchange it for another size instead of them trying to do too much in the way of the alterations.

I love the mantanilla veils...just not on me.

Don't wear a long veil at your reception. People try to put their arms behind you for pictures or give you a hug and they constantly pull on your veil--which yanks your head back. It gets REALLY annoying!
