I have no idea, the last thing I heard about him is that he was a co-author of the song for Ukraine's Eurovision 2010 participant, and competes to be Eurovision 2011 participant himself.
I only just saw this now--thank you so much for putting this up! I love the interview questions and the thoughtful way she answers them. So many reasons to fangirl this woman. I want to be like her when I grow up...
oh, thank you, this is so unexpected - this community is not active any more (and I'm sorry about it)
This is one of the best interviews and I don't even know how I managed to translate it from the language I barely know :) I used a lot of dictionaries and don't think I made a lot of factual mistakes. You know, with Slavic languages, if you know 2 or 3, the 4th is easier to understand. Are you a Ukrainian? you have a Ukrainian username.
It is sad! I only just got around to seeing if there was a fanclub on LJ (actually I was hunting for Danielle Rousseau icons and stumbled over here!). Though I have several other friends to squee with, so I'm not completely alone in my fannishness. I think cartography used to go here?
A perfectly understandable translation! Certainly several levels above Google Translate, which is what I usually resort to. :P You're right about Slavic languages, in my experience as well. I'm not Ukranian (my family's a Generic Canadian/American Mish-Mash who mostly speak only English), but when I was studying Russian (thus the username...well, "Nenya" is Sindarin from the Lord of the Rings :P) I found that a lot of times I would be able to understand a few words of Polish or Croatian etc. And we had Ukranian friends when I was a teenager who said they could hold conversations with Russian people without too much trouble.
Seriously...I fell madly in love with Delenn right away, only partly because she's freaking gorgeous, and then later heard some of Mira's
( ... )
ha, Nenya is Sindarin! of course))) how could I not realize this. Nenya in Ukrainian means "mommy" (well, it's dialectial/archaic but commonly known from literature).
I speak Russian and know Ukrainian very well, plus some Polish, and have some knowledge and practice in Serbian/Croatian which are basically the same language. I even used to listen to Radio Dubrovnik for a while, and watched Serbian movies without subtitles, many of the films with Mira as a lead actress :).

This is brilliant with much insight.
If there were mistakes, I didn't see them since I was so engrossed in all the information.
