hi, i hope this doesn't come across as totally random. but i love you icon.. its so cute! and good luck on making video games, i've always wanted to do the character designs for them.. =)
Please don't underestimate the importance of the knowledge you pick up while taking a degree. Wanting to work in the game industry is necessary but not sufficient. A degree will not get you there, but it will get you skills that will be of use to you once you do - ones which are not solely focussed on the game industry. So don't just choose your degree based on how easy it is. A community college degree is fine, as long as it's a good one.
Ultimately what you put in is the most important factor of all, which is why you shouldn't be half-hearted about the degree.
Depending on what games you want to make, and what area you want to work in, lack of significant mathematical ability is not an issue. However, you will need to be able to do algebra and understand logic.
Read this site if you have not already. There's some good stuff there.
Thank you for the site, but I'm still not sure about school.
I dropped out of high school and got a GED. That's screwed up most of my chances to get into any decent college. Not that I'm really that interested anyway. I still have the belief that some people are made for college while others or not; I fall into the 'not' category. School assignments don't agree with me.
Still, it's a big decision and I will give ti some though before deciding fully on one thing or another.
