This evening I saw Placebo live for the first time in around two years and it was wonderful. Brian's hair is ridiculous, but that's ok, I was expecting it. The new songs, from what I could hear, all sound pretty darn good, I'm excited for the album to actually come out ( Read more... )

I may come to Gallows as an excuse to see you and are Rolo supporting? Anyway I just googled to find out the date and a video came up where Frank shouts at this guy and uses the word "fuck" a lot and it made my legs wobbly.Ooer, that's not right I don't think but anyway yeah I've checked and there is a bus I can get at 3am so money depending we're on!

OOooooooh yes please! That would be wonderful. Its my friends birthday so I think we'll be going out for a bit after as well, but you're lovely, and my other friends are lovely so I see no reason why you shouldn't all get on :p

It'll be like a Warped reunion seeing as how two of my 'husbands' from warped are playing :p

Blimey! I have actually done the bus down to Bournemouth from home, it take about 7 years. hxc! I am still keeping my fingers crossed I get to (finally!) see Placebo in Japan in August...

Brian's hair is... well, I can't describe it. I saw their new video the other day and I spent the entire thing laughing at the hair. I joked with a friend of mine that Steve was the one who cut his hair, so now he's gone he's just letting it grow wildly.

Anyway, I meant to ask, was it really that good? I'm not very excited about the new record, the two promo songs haven't really caught my attention much, but I guess I still harbor some hope the album will make me swallow my words!

Well as far as the concert went that was really good. I've always enjoyed them as a live band so there was little doubt that I wouldn't enjoy it.

As far as the new songs go, I like Battle for the Sun, though lyrically it's repetetive, I havent listened to For Whats it's worth properly, but I enjoy it, and it was really good live.

As for the other new songs, I honestly did think they sounded good! Obviously I only heard them once but I thought they sounded pretty darn good. I guess we'll just have to wait for the album though!
