LJ is Driving me Away

Stole this from a community on Journalfen. I am so mad. Y'all know I'm visually impaired so I read everything from my FL and have the gigantic font so I can see. Well, LJ is taking away our FL customization. Yep. You heard right. Our FLs are all going to look the same, and that same is unreadable when you are visually impaired.

I have that annoying bar too and the "new and improved" flist layout SUCKS. I absolutely hate it. I love LJ and have for a lot of years. I love the people I've met here and I hate seeing people going. Grrrrr... why do they have to go and screw things up like this?!?!?!

I almost think that the people who own LJ are the same ones who are doing the attacks that keep shutting it down and they are actually TRYING to drive users away. My FL isn't going to do me any good at all if I can't SEE it.

Sorry for the random all caps. I'm just so mad right now. I get my FL where I can read it even with my failing vision and they go screw it up.

It just makes no sense that they'd piss off so many loyal people. I really don't get it. :-(

I don't either. Everytime they do something like this, 99.9% of their users complain and they just say "sucks to be you then. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out." And more and more people are leaving. My communities are getting smaller and smaller and these idiots don't care that they are destroying their own business! IDGI!

You aren't the first friend that's said this would drive them away. It's so damn sad. I made a rant on my LJ about it too as well as commented on that entry in News. Not that they give a crap about it anyway, they see the complaints and dismiss them.

I haven't seen the bar yet to switch and see the beta but I have heard ALLLLLL about it, and have no desire to even look at it. It's just LJ further driving away and alienating it's loyal, long standing user base.

It's so revolting! They don't even consider their users who are disabled and/or have visually impaired. I can't read the stupid new layout. I hate russia right now.

i've just looked switched to the new layout. it looks cheap and crappy. I've had this LJ since 2002 and don't want to leave it especially as the site has changed so much in the past year or two.

I know what you mean. It's like they are doing everything they can to drive away the people who have been here since the beginning. Don't they understand that new people aren't going to come for a FB/Twitter/Tumbler clone because the people who want that stuff will be on FB/Twitter/Tumbler?
