You are not crazy! I will tell you, though, that you're not facing 6 more seasons of this sort of thing - seasons 4 and 7 are easily the shippiest. Most of the time it's a lot more understated than this episode, LOL, which is both good (because I wouldn't be able to handle this level of consistent tension) and bad (because I'm a shipper at heart and I love my shippy scenes!).
I suppose I massively agree with your comment. I don't think I could take it at this level for the rest of the series, but goddamn I don't want them to cut it out entirely.
*chuckling* Ah, one of my favourite episodes. You'll enjoy the next one. Season 4 is about the shippiest, with the exception of a little bit of season 7, so it won't kill you, but... you'll like. *G*
Using my Helen icon because I just realised all my SG-1 icons are spoilery for you rn :P
The next one was fun, yeah :P. WITH THE UGLY TRACK SUIT AND THE KISSING and then the eyesex at the end. Yeah. Though I think a lesser person would've gone absolutely batshit insane. I mean, three months of the same ten hours over and over again. Ugh.
By the way, Trialia dear, since I know you would probably (hopefully?) know this...what's the best or main site for SG-1 fanfic? There are only a couple of episodes that actually make me want to read fic, but, uh, Window of Opportunity is one of them, haha.
Unrelated, but I would pay good money for a Magnus/Roslin death match of some sort (like, who can out-badass the other or something). You know like the fandom battles.
Whereas I wish we'd gotten this shit all the time. ;) (Don't get me wrong, though; I love the understated stuff just as much.) See, now that I understand that that didn't happen all the time and was much more understated/not there for like...the rest of the series minus season 7, I wish that happened more often too. Or at least needz moar eyesex.
I totally laughed at that bit in the next episode where he showed up in the ugliest lounge clothes I have ever seen and resigned just to kiss her. That was cute. And I have been teased by one of my friends that "Omg you need to watch Threads nooooooow" but I can't and won't (not even look at an episode synopsis) because that's season 8.
He leaves after season 8 and is only in one of the movies. Balls. I knew he left, but I was at least looking forward to both movies (and what is it with sci fi shows and the lead males leaving in/after season 8?! Seriously!).
I kind of am already dreading the arrival of Ben Browder.
You CAN'T jump straight ahead to "Threads" now. That's just not right. Besides, you need all the history (and absolutely awesome eps) before then. But as for season 4? You still have "Beneath the Surface" left. It makes me weep.
The show was never the same for me after he left. Season 9 dragged a bit for me, but season 10 was actually really, really good (other than the fact that I constantly went, "Okay, that was good. But it would've been a hundred times better with Jack.").
Besides, you need all the history (and absolutely awesome eps) before then. That's actually why I'm neurotic about watching episodes in order.

I've actually already seen it, though it was completely out of context because I was only three episodes into season 2 at the time. bringingupsammy was in town at the time and I really wanted to watch SG-1 with her but we thought it prudent to only watch shippy episodes. Except I had issues because I didn't want to be spoiled. So we watched that one. Ergo, I blame her. But I'm on Scorched Earth now, so woohoo I get to rewatch that one next!

Really, though, season 4 is the shippiest one, and season 6... 7 and 8, too. He leaves after season 8 and is only in one of the movies.
