I'm in a bit of a self-loathing mood, because I feel that my dissertation story doesn't quite work. The ideas are good, I like most of the main characters, and the story almost works. Just not quite. I'm kind of stuck in a scene now, because I'm not quite sure how to move the plot from point A to point B, so to speak. I'm well into the story now,

Totally random question: you actually call a bachelor's thesis a dissertation in Bolton? I ask because here, that word is reserved exclusively for doctoral dissertations. Not even master's theses are called dissertations.
