Had a bit more energy tonight and with the aid of a stool in case of wobbly moments and lots of painkillers, I managed to make venison pie! I made Tuscan Wild Boar Stew today. Except I didn't have any Tuscan Wild Boar so I used Marks & Spencer pork shoulder instead. I think you get more style points in the meat-substitution scheme of things ;-)

Oh yum! And here I am thinking that the toad-in-the-hole I'm going to make tonight was going to be the height of culinary delight this week!
