Blessings of the winter solstice!

I've just been up in the woods above my house, collecting greenery, it being the winter solstice and all. I had an adventure, collected holly while a red kite circled and cried overhead, slipped down a muddy bank and got the giggles as I sat in the mud and came home triumphant! I have holly, both dark green and a gorgeous variegated one full of red

(Slipping down a muddy bank is almost like getting into a drifted bank in a one-horse open sleigh, no? XD)

Of course I honestly like it! Oh, you! (Not that I'm any different when it comes to my "art"! But of course, my stuff actually is horrid, and yours is so wonderful!)
So far, I'm full of squee and have no complaints at all. Of course, I had to wrap it up and won't get to wear it again until Christmas proper, so if there's any issue I'll notice when wearing it longer, I won't find out for another couple of days. If there's anything (which I can't imagine, at the moment!), though, I'll tell you. For now, I'm just hoping I'll be able to get the earrings and/or necklace soon(ish).

It was, apart from the bank, which was just plain silly and hysterically funny. Basically, I was holding onto a branch because the slope was about 80 degrees and reminding myself NOT to cut the branch I was holding onto. So what did I do? I deserved it, I really did.

I had a lovely time prettifying the place. Piccies later I hope.
