Either someone up there has mistaken my life for a sitcom, or my subconscious was trying to tell me something. Either way, Sango, it looks like you're stuck with me for another night. Cheesy horror movies again, or would you like to try for an actual traditional date? (Or I can meet you halfway and we can get decked out for a romantic night at the ( Read more... )

Ye should have put yourself up for auction, that ye should have! Ye seem to be doing fine at the whole being a guy thing already, why are ye worried over it?

I should have, but things with Dad were going sour around sign-up time, so I couldn't be sure I'd be clear for it.

And I agree that I've got no problems being a guy, but I worry that I'm going to end up with a lot of my dad's less-honorable habits, which usually hurts my mom. While fooling around and everything is fine when you're 21, I don't want to think that I might hurt someone like my mom when I'm older.

Ah, that makes sense, that it does. So he is still doing better, then?

And that makes sense too, aye. It's never too late to change, it isn't, if ye are aware that something is a problem and ye are wanting to change it. Then again, I'm an optimist, I am, and I like to give people chances since I know I need them, I do.

Oh yeah. Dad even said something about how he wished he hadn't retired last summer, but Mom knows it's because he wants to meet new girls (he was a high school guidance counselor, weirdly enough).

It's never too late to change so much as you want to change. Being aware of the problem's usually not enough, I'm afraid.

I only had enough money to bid on one person, and there was a video game reference in the one I bid on. Still, that doesn't mean we can't meet up sometime when you're not beating the guys away.

It's all good, so long as ya bid on whoever suited ya best. Sure, we can definitely hang out sometime!

It's a good thing I don't mind you monopolizing my time. It's whatever you like, though - You won the bid, after all.

And you can thank the bossman for it, he guilted me into agreeing.

I'd hope you wouldn't mind it. And really, I'm pretty much game for anything. We already did the movie-and-takeout thing, so maybe we can try for something outdoors. Beach? Volleyball? Let me know. :)

He probably decided that you're much more likely to bring in way more cash than I can.

Outdoors sounds great! Beach?? I love to swim, but whether I want to be around you in a swimsuit is another question.

More like "much more likely to be easily manipulated".

Beach it is, then! No one said you had to wear a swimsuit....

You? Manipulated? Doubtful. If that were the case, you wouldn't be nearly so interesting.
