Being a comic book fan usually ruins movies based on comics for me. (I still refuse to believe that the X-Men movies exist, even though I own all three.) But The Dark Knight. Holy crap. I didn't even like Batman Begins all that much, and I was sure I'd hate their portrayal of the Joker, but it was well worth the exorbitant threater price. It's not ( Read more... )

Glad ya liked it. I had every intention of going to see it, went to the theater and everything. Got there saw the crowds and watched Mama Mia! instead.

I don't mind crowds but when they're of that size and consist of unwashed comic geeks I get squeamish... and a little queasy by the stench.

Yeah, I almost backed out when I saw the crowds, too. But then I remembered that I had bought my tickets in advance and was a hour eary, guaranteeing myself a seat. And my friend brought cards, so we had a nice round of War going on while we waited.

It's the unwashed comic geeks that give us washed comic geeks a bad name.

I bought my ticket too, but I scalped it for forty bucks. Nice little profit of thirty bucks there.

Not a fan of going into those big crowds alone.

Give it another few years, and the standard movie length will be three hours instead of 90 minutes - two hours. I think people have come to expect that already.

...I do not have a thing for Heath Ledger! I just respect him as an actor and thought it'd be nice to see his last movie! You never told me he'd be quite so creepy in it.
