It has been some fun times and sad times lately. Alot is going on as per usual.

Last weekend, Saturday, I met up with a japanese girl that I had met at a club some weeks earlier. She's from Kobe, which is another big city about 1 and ½ hours by train from Kyoto.

That's so awesome! Omg every time I see pics from your trip it makes me want to go to Japan even more XD

Hahaha that video of the Midsummer dance is cool too... my dad is Danish so he told me about it and I wanted to celebrate it even though I've never been there before. I also wanna learn Danish so I can go back there someday and visit and maybe go to a traditional celebration but that's a whole other story.. lolz :D

Wow, your dad's Danish? :O I never knew! How'd he end up in Canada?
Aw, you didn't learn any Danish as a kid? That's a shame. Maybe you can take a course over there or something?

Yeah he is XD He moved here with his parents when he was 4 so he still speaks it but not as fluently as most, and apparently he has an "old farmer" dialect hahaha. I'm sad I was never taught any growing up though. I will probably try to learn it sometime soon :D Gotta do it while I'm still young.. haha. I might try getting one of those self taught language study things... I don't know how well they work but it might be worth a shot ;O

It looks like such an amazing experience! I'm so jealous of all the food!

Oh man, I totally remember Mumin/Moomin from my childhood. Translated into English, we had a few of their books around when I was little. Those toys look so cool!

Yeah, the food here is totally rad! We're trying to test something new at least once a week.

Oh, that's cool! Mumin is really popular in Finland, Sweden, and Japan. Tove Jansson was Finnish, but the books were originally written in Swedish (because she belonged to the Swedish-Finnish minority). Aaand, the Japanese made a really popular anime based on the books, which is also frequently played on TV in Sweden.
Those plushes were awesome. They were as big as pillows too!

It was bought from giantrobot.com's store a few years back. I'm afraid that they don't sell it anymore. :( I would love to buy myself another one just like this if they still had them.
