Sigh.. I know exactly what you're talking about.. once you've lived there you never want to live anywhere else.. or at least, you'll miss it when you're not there. Racism and all that aside.. ),:
And I've lived in TOKYO!! Can you imagine how boring all of europe seems to me now? D: It's so grey and empty and boring.. it's been almost two years since I've been there for the last time and I still haven't managed to get used to europe's boringness again. LOL.
I dunno, I'm a bit torn. I would want to live there. But when I'm there there are many things about Sweden I also miss. Mostly to do with food, lol. Even though I like so much about the Japanese food culture too. Some things I just don't know how to cook, and cooking our traditional dishes is too difficult or expensive. Sometimes I just wish I could morph Sweden and Japan somehow, to make the ultimate country. XD
Still you live in a bigger city in Germany right? It still seems boring? :O I live in nowhere so almost every foreign city is bigger and more exciting, hahaha! Well, I think Kyoto was just big enough for me. Living in Tokyo might have been too much. I don't feel that my hometown is really grey or boring though (well maybe during the late winter/spring a little). It is just... different, and a bit more slow/calm than elsewhere.
