Little series

I was reminded a few days ago that I haven't really drawn "proper" pics of the boys, so I decided to take a crack at it. I tried Sethos first, but Kiya snuck in there as well. So that turned into a little series of the Uni and their guides.

I'll probably be posting these two at a time.

Oh wow! What a surprise! These are awesome!! I have to say I'm a bit biased to Sethos. You have a right to be proud of his hair ;) And I'm loving on his necklace. Just another one of those random things that jump out on me. As for boobs, I mean Kiya, I love what you put her in ;) The Mummy is one of my all time favorites and I love the costume designs. And again, love the jewelry design. I think there was something you posted on dA a while back that I wanted the earrings... I think it was for one of your other stories but can't remember off the bat

I'm glad you like them so. ;) I'm a bit biased towards Sethos as well. :P And lots of my jewellery designs are based off of pieces I see (and in more modern cases, pieces I own). The same thing for clothing as well; the dress is apparently from an Old Kingdom tomb, so I used that. I thought it might make it a little more 'authentic'. (I don't know if Azibo is based off any particular period).

Ah, good, glad to see I nailed him this time. ;) I think in my first attempt he had longer hair, but I think this looks better. I'm glad you agree.

I'm just kind of surprised that he could fight (and do so well) because...well, he always seemed so bookish. Your reasoning makes sense, but to me it came a little out of left field to see this man who always seemed to have his nose in books could fight. XD

Just want to point out that, no, Freolic would not have any guns. Melohdia, for one, wouldn't allow it, and for another, their level of technology isn't that high. They are, like you said, medieval in their technology, although they are advancing quicker than the other kingdoms. But nothing as modern as say guns or cameras.

I'd also like to point out that combat is not a requirement to be a Guide. Alden didn't have to be knowledgeable in fighting to be a Guide. Ryu, for example, has absolutely no fighting style, and is more of a pacifist. You'll never see him out fighting. I'm not sure what the requirements to be a Guide are, but they definitely don't include some sort of fighting style.

And now you know, because learning is half the battle. :P

Melohdia wouldn't allow it? Sounds more like Erin won't allow it. Sorry, but in the Freolic description it said the country was in an industrial revolution and had machinery, so firearms aren't that unlikely. But in this case I don't really care since I wasn't counting on it, just thinking out loud so to speak.

And I figured the Guides should be useful at teaching more than one thing, including fighting, especially if they are going to be worthy enough to be assigned to the Uni. But whatever. I decided Alden would know swordplay. He'd rather not fight if he didn't have to either, so that's why it was a surprise to everyone.

And I'm sure Callisto appreciates the lack of comment on her work :P

You know, I am really partial to that first picture... Kiya and Sethos look awesome! :D I think it's an amazing picture... Great job Callisto!

I also like the second one... Not as much as the first (maybe it's the cleavage and pecs in the first one and the lack of them in the second? ^_~ Hee!), but it's still a really wonderful picture... :D
