My Merry and Kipling muse just perked up at the mention of vampires. -_- Down, Bessie, down.
Now, when I first read this (actually, I was laughing inside, as it reminds me of the Avatar: The Last Airbender community I belong to, and all these people who advertise multi-fandom RP's there, and the people are like, dude, no.), I was skeptical. After all, my writing likes puppies. It doesn't do too well with dark. And besides which, my muse has its own rules for vampires, so it would probably be conflicting with that.
However, give my muse an inch, and it's halfway across the US. Almost immediately, it was like, hm, maybe I could take Merry and Kip out again. No, no, it would be more fun to create a new character! What're the rules, what's the story, what's the darkness like? It started going nuts on me. ;_; It, unfortunately, likes designing things, so if this does go somewhere, I think it would follow.
But, I can't say anything for the others. I'm somewhat interesting, and *snort* I've got too much time on my hands, so,
( ... )
And here you were the one I was worried about the most ;)
Well, you can do Merry and Kip AND another character if you want :> I have a bunch but I'm going to figure out who my main character(s) are/is and let the others fade in and out. I have my own couple that I'm quite fond of. And like I said, it doesn't have to be gory or anything, but just want people to keep in mind that there will be fighting and deaths. Once the others chime in I'll probably create another journal and start off with everything I had in mind, especially where vampires are involved, and everyone can respond with what they like and don't like.
Me? You were worried about me not willing to do it? Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm probably the only one who would want to do something like that. ^^; Mind, I can't speak for callisto-chan or Ramya, but, yeah, not too sure about them.
But still, I don't think I could do three characters. ^^; It would depend on the story, really, who I would do. I would love to see your view of vampires (mine ends up being them acting as normal people half the time, go figure. Although I like my idea of there being two types: the urban kind, the ones that are human like and can blend; and the rural kind, the savage vampires that most people associate with vampires. Oh, and, well, a Vampire King who sympathizes with humans, and likes one of them...but that's something entirely different. *cough*). Yeah. ^^;
It was mainly based on your stories you've posted and how you seemed to want to avoid violence in Melohdia. But I was really hoping you'd come on board, so yay!
And yes, I like my vampires to vary from the savage to socially elite. They can blend in with mortals if they choose to, and I like for cities, especially the larger ones, to have some sort of ruler. And of course the rulers vary depending on the type of city. Some are sympathetic to mortals, some are not. I'll type up more later, but I wanted to at least satisfy that much of your curiosity ;)
I might be interested, though I'd want to know a bit more first. You mentioned the 'darkness' as being violence/fights/deaths, which is fine with me (and, really, sort of to be expected in most vampire stories). I'm wondering about what the story is; what exactly is your conception of vampires (mine tends to follow Bram Stoker's model -- only active at night, no reflection, etc.); that sort of thing. Just a bit more info in general before I make a decision. :)
