aurora_84 linked me to this post and I just had to say that I don't know how I missed the supergay dreamy look that starts the whole franchise because it's so ridiculously obvious in caps. I must've seen this movie a dozen times without ever noticing the gay until recently and now that I've seen it makes everything more awesome. So, yes. Thanks for giving us all another reason to flail about the gay.

Oh I totally understand! I saw FAF4 and had no clue what all the references were, that Brian and Mia had hooked up, none of it. I'd seen the first movie but had forgotten pretty much all of it - and I couldn't believe how much slash potential there was when I watched it a few weeks ago. The opening scene makes me laugh and laugh because it's so unexpectedly gay.

Thank you for checking it out - I need some kind of excuse for why I sat there and capped all that :-)

Dude the actual plot manages to be overly-convoluted and completely stupid at the same time. Just thinking about explaining it made my head hurt. Also I'm sure I missed a lot; I spent 2/3 of the movie staring at Vin Diesel's arms *g*.

You have No Idea how much I love the thought that Brian has a thing for big, bald, dark guys. Just, yeah. It makes me love him a ridiculous amount (I can only pray to the fic gods there's a story that explores that idea).

For real, you need to go watch FF2 because Rome is his childhood friend and they establish Brian's whole canon thing for felon's of colour at an early age. :D And Rome actually brings up Dom at one point, eee, and Brian gets all embarrassed. That's not subtext, that's an anvil. Oh, and also, you know that fight with Dom where Brian used his wiles, I mean long legs and just wraps them around Dom like an octopus? SAME thing, exactly, with Rome. Except they're down in the dirt. Hardcore. I'm not lying, go watch, enjoy, do it for the lulz.

I really may have to check it out this weekend; I've never been particularly interested in Tyrese but I am quickly becoming convinced that wouldn't affect my enjoyment. In this case I may actually prefer my slash to be anvilicious *g*
