Thank you. She was truly one of the unsung people who totally give and ask little in return. Her departure leaves a huge hole.

Wow, you have such a compassionate gift, do you know that? You just brought tears to my eyes. She definitely taught us a lot, more than she will ever know.

We knew it was coming, since she collapsed again and went back in the hospital shortly before we left, but somehow one always hopes. I like to think that if what Sylvia Brown says about people being met on the other side by every animal they've ever helped and loved is true, she had one heck of a reception committee :)

I was just thinking the same thing about all the creatures she's helped. Except, I'm sure many of the creatures she cared for are still on this side--thanks to her.

Take care of yourself. I hope the rest of the year brings you good things without the sad.

From your lips to the Cosmic's ears :) This year has been a little on the sucky side, so some good news would be great. We lit the wood stove for the first time tonight and are looking forward to some long cozy evenings with a lot of good books.
