I think our time on Midway was a big big influence on her. She was an albatross whisperer. They would snap at everyone but her. She would walk right up and start scratching the back of their necks and they would just sit there, like a cat getting petted.

Some people are just attuned :) Magical moments like that open up an entire dimension.

I just ordered Temple Grandin's new book and am looking forward to reading it. I loved her first book, Animals in Translation.
