We got to take part in the epic snowstorm that hit this area over the weekend. Yay us! And there's more! Tomorrow, we're supposed to get at least another 12-18 inches. I'm only going to bore you once with pictures of the results. After that, just use your imagination :) Here goes:

Wow, that's a lot of snow! We got a little over a foot, and more coming, but our deck is only half full. (Or half empty, depending on how you look at it.) I'm glad no squirrels were hurt.

Right now, there are no animals in any of the outdoor pens (we close down most winters now,) so at least we didn't have that worry. If there HAD been any waterfowl out there, we would have moved them elsewhere in advance of the storm. I have never really trusted that roof, and for good reason as it turns out.

The worst thing is that our snow blower is useless for deep snow. The worst of it came in overnight, so by the time we woke up in the morning, the snow was already 12" and climbing. A neighbor came by around dark on Saturday and cleared about 2/3 of the drive before HIS tractor broke down. We did all the rest by shovel. Not looking forward to doing that again.

I'm glad you were spared the worst! Good luck, stay safe and stay warm :)
