Video codecs

I recently switched from using the windows K-Lite video codec pack to CCCP, mainly due to K-Lite's buggy playback of the .mkv format. So far the only problem I've had is the fact that Real Alternative and QuickTime Alternative aren't bundled in the CCCP install, no biggie really, although while CCCP seems to be updated fairly regularly and has a ( Read more... )

I use Vista Codec Pack, as k-lite has some bugs on Vista and it supports mov playback but don't know (or care) about rm. Its still nowhere near as comprehensive as k-lite was though.

Can't say I ever had any problem playing mkv files when I was on k-lite (on xp) though...

If you want to pay through the nose for what some fat arsehole deems to be profitable enough to distribute to the mindless zombie majority... then yes, that would be an appropiate solution.

use mplayer. is a commanbd code player. and its sooo easy and fun to use. its what i use.
