Well, I always knew I was weird, but I didn't know there was a name for it. Now I feel better, it's good to know there are others who share some common traits:)
What an incredible treatise! Being a loner and being lonely are two separate situations, although they can mix. And I do agree with the comfort of solitude, precisely because it can bring out deeper thought and revelation. But, inevitably, I believe we are destined to walk with others. Being alone is not what was intended. Connection is vital. I find that the more I am away, the more I desire to touch someone in a special way. We are expressions in this world. I think it is more about being vulnerable; being willing to be viewed and heard as well as taking it all in. The quirkyalones of this world are just that: quirky and alone. But they are by no means destined to stay like that.
