Grad School

Decision time. I finally decided. I'm going to Colorado State and working for Tom Rovis. He really is going to be the best advisor for me as far as I can tell. Despite not being at a top 5 school like Berkeley, I think I'm going to get better training as an organic chemist working in Rovis's lab. Well, guess I have to start a frequent flyer mile plan, so I can visit your ass in CO. Then I'll be known to your grad school friends as "that awesome Mexican kid who drank everyone under the table, passed out in the snow, then made us all waffles in the morning". And then everyone will keep asking you, "when's Dre coming to visit again, when's Dre coming to visit again?", and you'll be all butt-hurt and start putting HCl in my 7-Up

All that matters is the professor's name, not the school's. And what really matters to me is having an advisor who is going to be on my side rather than oppositional.
This is why I love smart hippies.
