So... Arizona. That's a state, right?

There is a very good chance I will be relocating to Tempe, Arizona. (Work thing, opportunity, blah blah.) Aside from my concerns (I'll need to rename myself on all social media, Arizona is not Ohio, the fucking coyotes, BUT CINCINNATI, etc ( Read more... )

I do not know anything about any of these things, but I wish you the very, very best in sorting out whatever it is you end up deciding to do! <3

Thank you!

There's still a chance this won't happen, so I'm trying not to worry about it, but there's a really good chance it WILL happen, so. And I really think it will be a good opportunity (if it happens) even though wtf there are PALM TREES EVERYWHERE AND NO GRASS. Old buildings are from 1912. 1912 was like, yesterday. What even.

Oh my gosh, but Cincinnati! Still, that will always be your city no matter where you live!

I don't know anything about the Tempe area, though I may have a bit to tell you about moving, should that turn out to be a situation you need advice about.

Wow, good luck with the entire situation!

Cincinnati is and will always be mine, for sure.

Luckily, we don't have a lot of furniture or possessions that are irreplaceable - in fact almost everything we have is EXTREMELY replaceable! - so moving will mostly be packing clothes and comic books. But once I know if this is actually a go, I will certainly be asking for advice!

Awesome, thank you! The Mr spent quite a bit of time there last summer with work, so he's familiar-ish with a lot of the area and has contacts and friends there, so we're not going in completely blind (if it happens, if if IF).

Sister 6 visits the Phoenix area very often. I will ask her. It's really hot in summer.

I've moved cross-country twice. It's a good time to declutter and keep what's important. Keep all your things that define home to you. Also all the sentimental papers and things.

Arizona doesn't have Daylight Saving Time.

Yes, it would be huge! We had a similar situation come up a good many years ago with Spokane, which did not come to be, so it's not definite or anything. It's just that it's such a drastic difference it's really... frightening!
