Okay. This LJ is turning completely stagnant. I know I don't update much, but I think this is the first time there have been no entries for an entire month. I'm so loathe to blog, I wonder why I even have one sometimes =/ Ah well ( Read more... )

You're not alone in thinking that orientation is a bit... err... uh... yea. And I still cannot understand the logic behind school bonding/team spirit = physical exertion, preferably in association with mud.

The anxiety of getting back O level results seriously only kicks in 24 hours before actually getting it back. All my friends who are emoing about it now are just, well, being generally emo about it. But, yea, it does mean worrying about staying in RJ.

I'm quite surprised you got through secondary school with your sanity relatively intact.

Maybe orientation games are part and parcel of a vicious cycle. It just never ends because every year, seniors delight in seeing the new J1s going through the same crap they did.

I hope you'll stay in RJ! I'm sure you can (: You're a gazillion times more intelligent than I could ever hope to be! Anyway, you can also appeal to stay in through MEP, right?

(Frankly speaking, I don't think my sanity is intact. I go crazy to stay sane, if that makes any sense.)

But it's quite interesting. Somewhere, somehow, some person actually believes that mud is the key to holding a team together. Or somehow, the communal experience of mud will lead to people gaining a better understanding of one another.

Yea, I plan to appeal if I can't stay. But it's still a bit... yurk. 18 points just looks terrible. Problem is, sometimes 'O' level marks defy logic, which is why we're all worried.

(It makes sense. Insanity is a kind of defence against reality)

I'm guessing it has something to do with a connection to our primal roots. Something about our ancestors having to forage through mud and soil in unity, or you know, anything else as lame as that.

That's true. Oh well... here's hoping for the best. Don't stress yourself out too much before Friday!

oh gosh yes lina my mum says rgs is like a nunnery. :(

things are really different in gb without you guys. only recently i was thinking about how dependent i used to be on my seniors. i always thought you people were like, advisors, and i complained, lamented, confided in sought help....etc from you all for practically everything. now it feels like a totally different thing altogether to be the ones the juniors turn to.

i miss you guys.
