I remember I loved the highlands when I went to Genting. Do they still have that cable car thing that takes you up somewhere (I know, right? Couldn't I be more vague) because it is AMAZING. I really felt like I was looking over fog-covered Congolese mountains. :D
You look as if you had a WONDERFUL time, and I'm really happy for you! I miss Singapore, and aww, Taka (your reference to it!) made me so happy. I always used to go underground and eat food there.
Yes, the cable car from Highlands hotel is still in operation! I last took it when I was 12, and we didn't get to use our complimentary tickets on this trip because there wasn't enough time (and we weren't willing to sacrifice sleep for it).
The trip did make me appreciate Singapore a lot more, especially the all-rounded efficiency and safety of the country. Any possible way you could come back for a visit?
Guh! I love that cable car shizz! Your trip still seemed wonderful without it, so I'm more than sure you're happy! :D
I guess the only thing I don't miss about Singapore is it not being cold during Wintertime...it gets somewhat cold here. Ahh, maybe. The last time I came for a visit was about two years back. We stayed at the Swissotel The Stamford then, and a few years back at Shangri-la, so I'm itching to go back, but I don't know when we can next. College applications are ruining my life and so is school.
I agree, my biggest gripe with Singapore is the weather - the lack of variety and the extreme humidity.
Our prom's being held at the Swissotel this Wednesday! Aww, chin up about college apps - I know exactly how you feel, I was working furiously on them up to the week before my A-levels (only the most major exam ever) and it drove me up the wall. School'll be over before you know it... I still can't believe I've graduated from junior college!
