NoteIf you read my journal and know that I post it under friends lock, I request that you do not share my journals or my feelings with an outsider. I have added you all as a friend and have given this trust. Please, do not break this trust especially if I am writing about someone we both know in person and you know that I do not wish for them to ( Read more... )

I had a talk with a certain someone and that someone came up with all this complete bullshit about who I am and what I do and why I do it. I don't do those things. Although I can't control what people think of me, I wish for them to know the truth. So yes, someone was being an ass.

I learned that some people do share things under friend's lock. It's unfortunate...

Nice icon. ^_^

My teacher addressed the issue in class today about the first commandment (He's a Christian, by the way). He says, "well, almost each religion says that their God is the right one, so someone's got to be wrong somewhere... Of course, no one would like to admit that.

Islam also says the same thing. We also have something similar to the 10 commandments, although we only have 5. The first one (in Arabic of course, I'll just translate it for you) is "There's no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger."

Hope that helps. =)

Very true, but I don't know who is wrong or if any is truely right. Really, a lot of religions share the same God, but it really doesn't seem like it. Christianity, Jewish, Islam, even Wicca (yes, they do. I don't think it's polytheistic even if it is one. They just split the God into 2 manfestations: man and a woman. Like... the trinity.). Buddhism is nice because it simply doesn't ask. o.o

That's cool that your teacher did that today. ^ ^

I remember that first one. I know I heard it before and all. Thanks. :D

That helps with Islam because it says 'no God but Allah'.

May I ask why you are studying religions? I don't mean to be nosey (everyone that says that really is, and I am) but I am curious.

Don't the Jews have a lot of Commandments? I thought I read that there was like 50-100 or so. Someone once told me it was close to a thousand, but I doubt that.

*huggles* I missed ya!

I'm interested in some. Not Judaism or Islam exactly (Islam only because Farah <3), I'm just interested in Wicca and other stuff. I just felt like studying some.

I think they have 60-100 and something.

*hugs* What up?

Cool, I find religions fascinating (as well as culture stuff).
You should check out some of the odd Native American relgions. Some pretty fascinating stuff there (and most to do with nature).

I have no clue, don't really care though . . . .

Nothing much. You?
