I was watching the Premios Juventud earlier on Univision, I would say they're an awards show but the awards are secondary to all the performances. It was 2 really entertaining hours of really diverse music from all over the Hispanic speaking world.
Here are some of the songs that were performed by artists I really dig.

Shakira was honored with a legend award or something like that. Waka Waka makes me miss the world cup so much ;A;
omg I think its so sexy when she dances for Rafa Nadal :O
Juanessssss~ Actually I never listened to much Juanes but I know of him. This song is nice, its about being a kind of witch doctor, he's gonna cure your love woes. I think horrorvacuii would really like this song.
Enrique and legendary Latin artist Juan Luis Guerra who looks exactly like I remember him from when I was 12 lol. This song is really sweet, it has a very traditional latin sound.

These two had so much chemistry during their live performance! I was like get it you cougar! Marta has been around for ages, I had no idea she still made music. I liked her when I was little. The audience was really into this song, they sung every word. The lyrics are beautiful, "Te envio poemas de mi puño y letra. Te envio canciones de cuatro quarenta."

NEVER CHANGE PITBULL! Hahah I swear to God he had a raging hard-on when he was performing his solo medley section o.O; When I first got into his music I was like, I've never heard any male artist ever have this many songs about eating pussy haa. American rappers never talk about giving female pleasure. In one of his songs he's like 'I'm open minded, so bring your toys' I love Pitbull forever for being sex positive~ hahaaa.

Ego ego ego eeeee Ego ego ahhh egoisssstaaa!! Belinda surprised me with her live performance, it was great. She needs a sandwich though.
Dulce María made her solo singing debut w/ this song. She was in this group called RBD w/ Anahi. This song reminds me of kpop b/c its so sweet and catchy and makes my teeth hurt haa.
Anahiiiiii. I dunno this is a moving ballad but she doesn't have the chops to really pull it off :O
yay! so if you wanna get into some new music check these out. Bonus my all time fav Shakira song, 'En tus pupilas' I can't even begin to imagine to feel for anyone what she describes in this song. Basically she says, "When I look into your eyes I know that God never stopped existing and you keep him alive." OMGG. It's so deep and poetic, her Spanish lyrics are amazing.
A-MAZING!!! Her vocals give me chillssssss. This is like a breakup song, the chorus is, "Its impossible to live with so much poison." <3
