The 1st 1_sentence challenge completed!
I'm still pending approval at the 1_sentence LJ community, so while I'm patiently waiting to be allowed to post my sentences there, I decided to put them here in my own LJ first. Seeing as I did my first set on the Bloody Roar fandom, I doubt any of my friends will even know the game that I'm talking about. ^_^0 Oh well, this is dedicated to my good friend Andrew Glasco, and his strange preference for the pairing of Xion the Unborn x Alice Tsukagami from Bloody Roar III. XD This is for you, buddy!

1. Walking
He cursed his injuries for making his walking difficult, but his ailment was quickly forgotten when the nurse came to support him with her body strength.
2. Waltz
She waltzed right into his life with ease, and although her presence had initially been unwanted, he now dreaded her inevitable departure.
3. Wishes
Xion was neither a fool nor a dreamer; he presumed realistically that all his wishes for snaring the romantic attention of the kind rabbit zoanthrope would go unanswered.
4. Wonder
When he permitted himself to think about Alice, he wondered many things, but most of all, he wanted to know if she ever gave him a passing thought…
5. Worry
Alice was a fellow zoanthrope and no stranger to danger, but he still felt a twinge of worry whenever he spied bruises marring her fair, porcelain skin.
6. Whimsy
How foolish, he thought of himself, trying to deny his mind’s odd infatuation with conjuring up images of the nurse and her gentle smile.
7. Waste/Wasteland
She dared to confront him in battle, as if threatening to take away his powerful Tabula stone, and so he opted to help her waste her short life…
8. Whiskey and rum
Knowing full well the risks of mixing whiskey and rum together, Xion became intoxicated with the alcoholic routine when he realized that it helped in distracting him from thinking about her.
9. War
In this heinous civil war amongst the realm of zoanthropes, everyone was at equal risk, but he wanted Alice to stay out, and be safe from all harm.
10. Weddings
She wedded herself to the time-consuming task of helping him heal from his injuries, and he was speechless, unable to express his gratitude.
11. Birthday
Alice was startled to receive a present from the silver-haired man; how had he learned that it was her birthday?
12. Blessing
Despite having fought each other, to his surprise, she actually wanted to heal him after the battle had ended, and so he was blessed with her compassionate nature.
13. Bias
She was in avid search of some stray wolf and judging by the inkling of yearning in her voice, Xion certainly felt no desire to aid her in this quest, due to his slight bias.
14. Burning
Alice carefully skittered her hands around the cuts on his chest, her touch utterly innocent, but he was inwardly burning at the simple contact.
15. Breathing
Even after just a short time spent in her pleasant company, Xion realized almost frighteningly that craving her presence had become as necessary to him as breathing.
16. Breaking
She had broken him away from the evil, intoxicating influence of malicious power and his new life was all thanks to her interference.
17. Belief
He trusted very few people in his life - especially his sister - but his faith in Alice and her generous nature never wavered right from the beginning.
18. Balloon
After their battle, she candidly complimented the man on his fighting abilities, and he felt his ego swell up rapidly like a balloon.
19. Balcony
When she first entered the temple arena - his private sanctuary - he watched her from above as he stood discreetly on a balcony hidden by the shadows.
20. Bane
If Xion could have his choice of poison to use on his most despised opponent, he would pick wolfsbane without hesitation.
21. Quiet
Somehow, without meaning to, she had managed to quietly invade his mental state, and to his own surprise, he found himself not wanting to discard her presence.
22. Quirks
In his eyes, she had no flaws, but her one little quirk was the small fact that she absolutely insisted on staying friends with that aggravating wolf zoanthrope.
23. Question
Because Xion already knew the answer, he never thought to inquire her about the obvious, although at times, he was certainly tempted to voice his curiosity.
24. Quarrel
Xion secretly relished in the quarrels that ensued between Alice and that mangy wolf, but he grudgingly admitted that they usually made up in the end.
25. Quitting
With slightly selfish reasons, he was adamant in his attempt to persuading her to quit the WOC and return to her nursing job, but she refused to turn away from her allies.
26. Jump
Xion sensed her sadness even as she turned her face away, and when he laid his hand on her shoulder in a gesture of comfort, she jumped in surprise.
27. Jester
Despite her rather young age, Alice had such a serious persona that he almost wished he could joke around and poke fun just to see her laugh and smile.
28. Jousting
In the heat of battle, his sharp blades stabbed toward her in a swift jousting fashion, and she avidly danced around the dangerous points to preserve her life.
29. Jewel
He remembered the time when she had softly admitted that some people felt intimidated by the deceptively-malicious shade of her eyes, but in his opinion, they shone like brilliant, dazzling rubies.
30. Just
Though he was perfectly aware of her close friendship with the wolf zoanthrope, Xion still felt that only when he had properly returned the beating to that second-rate boxer would justice be realized.
31. Smirk
When his admiring gaze swept briefly over her petite form, her facial reaction of a light blush brought a slight smirk to crease his lips.
32. Sorrow
Her expression surprisingly reflected sorrow when he told her that he had to go someday; if he stayed too long, he would become accustomed to her kindness and never want to leave her side.
33. Stupidity
He chided himself harshly for thinking of ways to win her heart, feeling that his thoughts were pointless, blatant stupidity.
34. Serenade
Sometimes, Alice sang happy tunes to herself during her idle instances, and her melodious tone always entranced his attention, much like the seductive serenade of a siren luring a man into her vicinity.
35. Sarcasm
“Run back and tend to that reckless wolf friend of yours,” Xion sneered bitterly in jealousy, and then tried to ignore the twinge of guilt that pricked his conscience when she visibly winced at his harsh tone.
36. Sordid
She illuminated with such integrity and righteousness that he was almost afraid of being around her, should he taint the upright woman with the aspects of his sordid, sinful lifestyle.
37. Soliloquy
“That mangy wolf doesn’t deserve a second of her generous attention,” Xion muttered covetously under his breath; his soliloquies were always short and succinct.
38. Sojourn
He had no set place to stay while he recovered from his battle injuries, and when Alice offered him her apartment as a temporary solution, he was stunned by her benevolence.
39. Share
As if they didn’t already have enough hostility between them, Xion and the Ohgami boxer also shared one unfortunate common interest that made them enemies by default: Alice Tsukagami.
40. Solitary
The Unborn zoanthrope was all-too-familiar with the concept of solitude, but when she entered his life, he suddenly felt eager to give up his seclusion.
41. Nowhere
His feelings for her grew steadily day-by-day, but her unresponsiveness told him that their relationship was going nowhere, and would never elevate past the level of platonic.
42. Neutral
Alice and her friends were prominent members of the WOC and their opponents joined terrorist groups to express their opinions of humans, but Xion remained neutral, unwilling to participate in what he considered to be a petty dispute.
43. Nuance
She told him that she would soon leave to follow the WOC leader once more, and although his mental reaction was that of a combined annoyance and longing, his calm expression was barely fazed.
44. Near
Once she had finished tending to his wounds, the nurse moved back to carefully inspect her work, and her comforting nearness stirred a strange, foreign feeling deep within him.
45. Natural
“Yes, this is my natural hair color,” Xion answered her question dryly, and when he made a slight gesture toward the unique shade of her own hair, the two shared a hearty laugh together.
46. Horizon
For most of his life, his perception had been rather limited by his ever-insistent conquest for power, but he considered expanding his horizon to include her viewpoints.
47. Valiant
When he realized that Alice was fond of bravery and valiance in the man that would be her partner, Xion furtively pondered on ways to prove his worthiness as a possible candidate.
48. Virtuous
The rabbit zoanthrope was the personification of virtue, and he silently wondered if she would grant him redemption somehow, if it was possible for her to look past his countless previous wrongdoings.
49. Victory
Xion tasted victory when he finally convinced her to accompany him on a night out around the town, purposely far away from the presence of that mangy wolf.
50. Defeat
In the end, he had to reluctantly accept the defeat when too much time of inactivity had passed by, and so he left her without uttering a single word or giving advance notice, once again delving back into his life of searching and seeking futile power.
