The star couple of Bloody Roar...
Oh boy, on the 7th set already! My, my, where does the time go? ^_^ I just took my final for Pre-Calculus a couple of hours ago, and I am so stoked about finishing the class that I wanted to get up some fanfiction in celebration. With this set, I have written one for each of my favorite couples in Bloody Roar. I support Xion x Uranus and Nagi x Reiji as well, but I don't know their personalities well enough to write them, so it will be a while before I give those pairings a try. “It’s no big deal, they’re just little scratches,” Yugo boasted evenly in false bravado, but the nurse just gave him a stern look before she worked on healing his wounds.

They first met each other at seventeen, both of them too young to be burdened with the responsibilities that had suddenly been dropped upon their shoulders.

Of course, he’d had some girlfriends before her - being such a hot young stud and all - but his relationship with Alice was different because he knew that this one would last for a long time.

“Don’t try to prove her wrong, brother,” Kenji advised his older sibling wisely after their latest argument had caused Alice to leave in a huff.

The hotheaded boxer was accustomed to getting into rough physical predicaments, but with her, he had to make a conscious decision to treat her gently.

“Only one, Yugo,” she chastised him firmly, denying his request for another whole piece of steak, “You know that too much isn’t good for your health.”

Sure, he could be a little dense and insensitive on occasion, but he would punch himself in the face a thousand times before he did or said anything that could make her cry.

“Huh, I don’t care if lions are the king of the jungle,” Yugo bragged when Alice had expressed her concern about the friendly spar, and he cockily declared, “I’ll still kick old Gado’s ass!”

“Yugo, honestly…” the blue-haired woman sighed softly and shook her head in exasperation, and before he could open his mouth to whine, she continued, “When will you ever learn?”
11. Blur
He claimed to not practice with the rabbit zoanthrope because he didn’t want to hurt her, but part of him was just a little intimidated by how fast she was in battle, a white blur that bounced off the walls.
12. Wait
Yugo often complained about the long hours she worked at the hospital, but whenever her shift ended, she would always find him waiting outside in the lobby for her.
13. Change
When the nurse returned to the hospital and found her friend leaving against medical advice, she sighed and frowned slightly, thinking to herself as she decided to follow him; Five years and he hasn’t changed a bit…

“I don’t need any bandages,” the reckless young man declared, but he was swiftly silenced by his caretaker commanding in a gentle, but firm tone, “Yugo, please… just sit and be quiet!”
15. Hold
“Haha, Ohgami’s whipped,” one of his boxing companions provoked Yugo as he rushed to get showered and changed to meet his girlfriend; he followed that with, “Damn, man, what kinda hold does she have on you?”
16. Need
She annoyed the wolf zoanthrope at first with all her attentive care directed toward him, but he suddenly realized in her absence how much he missed the kind woman… and needed her.
17. Vision
Just when his body was suffering from exhaustion and he thought he couldn’t go on any longer, a vision of Alice appeared in his mind and he suddenly felt a surge of renewed energy.
18. Attention
Whenever she started talking about mundane things, like decorating the rooms, he tried his best to pay attention, which was easier said than done.
19. Soul
“She cooks, she cleans, she bandages all your wounds, and she always supports you,” Kenji recited to his brother in an effort to calm his jealousy of Alice’s friendliness with men, even though she was that way to everyone; “Don’t worry, brother… Alice is your soulmate.”

Yugo wasn’t really the sentimental type, so she was pleasantly surprised when she caught a glimpse of a picture he had of her in his wallet.
21. Fool
“Yugo, you are so foolish sometimes…” the nurse lectured as she applied yet another strip of gauze tape over his open wound that had been the result of a brawl with a man who had hit on Alice, “That wasn’t necessary, you know… but thank you.”
22. Mad
“Ooh, Sis, I think he’s mad about you,” Uriko teased her older sister with a giggle when she saw the new silver necklace that adored her neck.

“Uh huh,” he answered her absentmindedly, his eyes remaining glued to the television, and she sighed before resorting to shock-snare his attention, “By the way, Yugo, I’m pregnant with your child.”
24. Now
“I can’t wait any longer, Ally,” he groaned in an effort to restrain himself from just ripping her panties off and having his way with her, “I need you… now.”
25. Shadow
She wasn’t sure how to feel about her boyfriend always glaring at other men for just looking at her, but the shadow of his protectiveness was admittedly comforting.
26. Goodbye
“I-I don’t want us to end,” she confessed shyly one night, and was assured by his kiss and firm words, “I’ll never say good-bye to you, Ally.”

Kenji watched on in amusement as his brother scampered around the apartment to hide, and then moments later, Alice’s voice called out loudly, “Yugo, you went through my underwear drawer again!”

“Don’t listen to that old hag,” Yugo grumbled in irritation as he led his girlfriend away from the fortune-teller and the prediction that Alice would marry a rich, powerful, and influential man, likely a doctor.

Even in the midst of a battle with chaos all around them - the ZLF never liked to fight fairly - she felt comforted and safe just being by his side.
30. Ghost
When the young woman emerged from their room at long last, his eyes slowly ran down her form in open admiration as the ghost of a mischievous smile flickered over his lips.

“Heh, I knew books had to be good for something,” Yugo declared with a wolfish grin and a wink in Alice’s direction; she shook her head slightly at the title, The Kama Sutra.

She was secretly ashamed of the odd color of her eyes, for she knew that red was obviously unnatural and a reminder of the past experimentation, but the brash boxer never said anything other than, “You’re beautiful, Ally.”

“I don’t think so, Yugo,” the nurse declared as she steered her boyfriend away from the store that sold adult toys, but he persisted, “Never say never, heh, heh…”
34. Sing
Alice had many great qualities, but singing was not one of them, and she wondered why Yugo would interrupt her with a kiss every time she started.

The two had been dating for quite a while before he suddenly realized one day how deeply she had been embedded into his life.

“Yugo,” she gasped breathlessly when his lips skimmed over the sensitive flesh of her neck; “We have to stop… your brother will be home soon…”

“Pssh, my next opponent calls him the ‘God of Boxing’,” Yugo scoffed with a slight frown, and his next words made his girlfriend giggle softly, “I’m gonna knock him off his pedestal!”

If he touches her, I’m gonna tear him up and down the wall, the young man thought as he jealously watched one of his fellow boxers talking a little too long with Alice.

He loved going to the beach with his girlfriend, for aside from seeing her naked beauty, his second favorite view was of her in a bikini.

“Hey, you have to drive like this to get around downtown Tokyo,” Yugo insisted to the young women seated behind him on his motorcycle, whose face had gotten quite pale by the destination’s end.

“I don’t want you to get harmed because of me,” the wolf zoanthrope admitted in a worried tone when she had eventually caught up to him after his escape from the hospital, “Go home, Alice… please.”

“We’ll kill that precious rabbit woman of yours,” Shenlong sneered arrogantly at his younger opponent, to which Yugo fired back, “You won’t get to touch her so long as I’m around!”

Her heart always skipped a beat whenever his gaze lingered on her for long, and she caught the familiar glimpse of hunger in his eyes.

“…I don’t know if I can be this great leader that old Gado thinks I am,” he mumbled quietly, and Alice expressed her faith without hesitation, “I believe in you, Yugo.”
