Okay, still in the alternate fandom...
Gee, and here I thought I had my fill of Final Fantasy XII already, but I guess there is a still a part of me that feels attached to the fandom, hehe. ^^ Well, this present set is indeed from FFXII, and the couple in question is... Larsa x Ashe. This pairing is admittedly unique, and I must admit that I adore Vaan x Ashe and Larsa x Penelo far more, but nevertheless, I was glad to give it a try. This set of sentences is dedicated to my good friend Ariescelestial - my dear, thank you for being your awesome supportive self. I hope you will enjoy the Bloody Roar series, and of course, I extend a warm welcome to you entering this sweet little fandom. It was pretty challenging figuring out how to place Larsa and Ashe in a romantic kind of relationship, and if I screwed up really badly in any of the sentences below, feel free to let me know. ^^0 I can't wait to hear from you~! <3

Despite his young age, Larsa was fully aware of the women around him, and it seemed he had a certain preference for older female companioniship.

On the flight leaving the Sky Fortress Bahamut, Larsa gazed forlornly at the endless series of explosions piercing the hazy clouds, and Ashe felt a pang of empathy for him when he murmured somberly, “I am now the last of the Solidor line…”

“No, you are wrong about my brother,” the protective prince protested faithfully, and seeing his earnest expression, for a second, Ashe considered believing him.
6. Gentle
When asked about women, Vayne remarked blithely, “They are gentle, fragile creatures that can be so easily broken, my brother, but of course, there are exceptions to every rule…” and his sibling silently agreed, thinking of one in particular.

He glanced at Penelo, and after that toward Ashe, and it was then that he wondered if it was possible to hold more than one woman dear and closely to his heart.

After the young fighter pulled out what seemed to be the thousandth Hi-Potion, the Rabanastre princess had to resist a strong urge to ask him where he had the room to store all of his items that always appeared out of nowhere.

Larsa was only ten when news of King Raminas’ death reached his ears, and after the initial shock, he wondered what would happen to Princess Ashelia, who was now orphaned and alone.

Less experienced than the others, the Archadian prince watched his allies as they fought, wanting to learn how to improve his own techniques, and he paid keen attention to one certain party member.

Poison from an opposing foe made her head dizzy and the accompanying pain caused her eyes to blur with unwanted tears, but when the fog finally cleared, the first person she saw was Larsa, whom judging by his close proximity, must have given her the antidote.

He heard from the others that she was still mourning the death of her late husband, but Larsa was willing to wait and give her sufficient time to heal.

The young prince secretly wished that he was taller and broader already, as he wanted to grow up, and he silently willed his body to change, so then maybe he would finally be noticed.

“You are either our ally, or you are with him,” Ashe remarked bluntly, shooting Larsa a sharp glare as she commanded him, “You had better decide quickly.”

When he received the notice of his father’s death, he felt like the entire world had collapsed atop his shoulders, and upon catching her brief look of sympathy, he could almost imagine her holding out both arms to console him.

After catching a glimpse of some of the violence, greed, and sins in the realm of the outside world, he felt like he needed to retain what was left of his innocence - and he thought that surely Ashe, with her battle-hardened tough exterior, she knew how to cope with such hardships.

The vision of his brother committing such heinous acts was almost too much to bear, and he shut his eyes tightly, mentally trying to draw her strength to him.

She was not exactly the yelling type, but regardless of how she spoke, it always seemed to capture everyone’s attention, and he listened avidly to her every time.

“I hope for your people’s sake that you do not share you brother’s mad and twisted perception of the world,” she quipped at him with sincerity in her voice.

“I am not a child, and I shall prove to you that I am fully capable of holding my own in battle,” he told her calmly after she protested against his suggestion to temporarily join the party and travel together.

“Your senate wants you to marry now and produce an heir,” she deadpanned when he casually mentioned it; how could he be so calm about the forceful suggestion?

“We are two different people, I assure you,” he tried to convince the disbelieving princess, “I have not come this far on my own to merely act as his shadow.”

The airship flew to his home nation first, and there he departed from the group, feeling a lump of longing lodge itself into his throat when he murmured a quick, albeit difficult good-bye to her.

The young prince was not cowardly by nature, but there were times he wanted to run somewhere and hide, such as when Ashe vented her frustration out on anything and everything that surrounded her.

She indicated through subtle gestures that she was beginning to trust him, and he thanked his good fortune and hoped that she would not hate him for merely being born a Solidor.

“Stepping foot into Rabanastre might be dangerous to your safety and well-being,” she sternly warned Larsa after he expressed an interest in visiting her country.

He never asked outright, but he sensed that whenever Ashe looked at him, she received a ghostly reminder of her late husband, as well as the cause of his death.

One of his favorite pastimes was reading, and the princess gave Larsa a curious look when she saw him walking around with his nose buried in a book; the battlefield was no place for such leisure activities, after all.

When the group of travelers were out and away from civilization, it was difficult finding a way to stay clean, but Ashe was surprised to discover Larsa’s insistence of frequently bathing and washing his soiled clothes.

As he stood by his brother’s side, facing Ashe and the others, Larsa felt torn from his conflicting desires within, wanting to join them, and yet at the same time, he was trapped by his obligation of family loyalty.
