Ahahaha, I think I will be toying around with some other fandoms aside from BR for a time... :) Which is good! I want to explore around and see who else I could possibly write for... You readers like variety, yes? ^_^ I hope so, hehehe. Anyway, this 1_sentence set is for Shadow Hearts, my first one for this fandom, surprisingly - considering how much fanfiction I had written for SH before - and the pairing is not one of my usual OTPs. Do I hear gasps of shock resonating around the room...? XD Like the most recent one, this set is also dedicated to my good friend, Aries, because she is awesome and I can't think of any better way to repay her kindness than by giving her many shiny gifts of joy. Shania looked at him as if he was crazy, and thought it must have been the alcohol talking when he mumbled, “If Edna had given me that same red Malice… then we could be together for eternity…”

Even despite being in the company of another woman, he wondered how his beloved Edna was doing in the afterlife, and he silently prayed for her before and after the act, Dios, cuidala, por favor…

“Don’t worry… this doesn’t mean anything,” Shania assured him upon glimpsing the guilt in his expression, as she personally didn’t want to complicate the delicate situation anymore than it already was.

A sudden whimsical notion of her recent ‘activities’ with Ricardo made the priestess pause and consciously force out the disapproval coming from her own mind that accused her of being corrupted and immoral.

At least her past experiences were not a waste now, she dimly reasoned, as she watched the tension of pleasure run across his face, and heard a slight groan of contentment noise from her partner.

Per Lenny’s concerns, she went looking for the wandering mariachi; she finally found him, and it was the third time in the same week that she saw him nursing a drink in the bar - she instantly knew whom he was thinking about.

His mind and his heart were at war with each other when he awoke the next morning and thought about the events of the night before… surely, he had betrayed Edna’s memory by succumbing to his body’s weak needs…

As she returned to her own room late after midnight, a mental image of her waiting fiancé briefly flickered and reminded the priestess that she was supposed to be engaged to marry another man…

“It’s not important,” she insisted when he offered to take her out to dinner for her birthday, and to prove its insignificance, she merely rose from the bed and calmly got dressed, preparing to leave as usual.

His smirk was teasing, and playful, even, as the sultry mariachi proposed that they find out which one of them could satisfy the other first; she certainly would not back down from his challenge…

Toward the end of their long quest, he became more hesitant around her during their trysts, and she caught glimpses of something resembling sorrow in his facial features, though she did not know the reason behind it.

The concerned mariachi could tell that she was not sorry for rushing off ahead and putting herself in a dangerous situation, but he asked her just the same, “Why did you do such a stupid thing?”

She remembered the first time he played his guitar in Chicago, listening to the low and sweet melody of the tunes that seemed to soothe and lull her into an unfamiliar state of calm serenity.
