I finished a lovely evening by laughing at a marathon of Psych, having a glass of cabernet sauvignon in a crystal wine glass, fixing up the cheese mixture for lasagna and making two different sauces.
I also almost cried in the grocery store this afternoon because I wanted to make muffins and I had no one to eat the other 11.

That tugged at my heartstrings so badly! Although kudos: there was so much emotion and descriptive detail in that short little thing; it was like a prose haiku. I love the picture of you in your kitchen with your crystal glass of wine, stirring sauces on the stove while Lida twines around your feet, probably with Neil Diamond or the Dropkick Murphys playing.
I would eat muffins with you in a heartbeat. I miss you and nobody else can fill it.
