Going Back to England: Fourth Trip To England [Day 06]
I woke up naturally around nine but didn't want to get out of bed right away and just went on twitter and facebook and talked to some of my friends. I finally forced myself out of bed at around ten. I got all my photos so far organized on Facebook and was so happy to see persiflage_1 reaction to me getting a video of Ben Daniels saying hello to her. :D Once Nic had gotten ready for the day we hung around her house for a bit and played with her ratties! <3 We also watched Horrible Histories which is pretty funny. I was so excited because I was going to see my friend PBo (Pete, it's his nickname) that I had first met last October when I was in England. Nic and him work together and since it was a Monday he had obviously gone to work that day so we drove to the job and picked him up. Even though work didn't let out for another ten minutes Nic could see that they weren't too busy so we went in and said hi to a few people.
Once work let out we decided to kill some time before going to eat dinner as no one was hungry just yet. Of course I asked if we could go to Toys R Us because I know they have Doctor Who things there! They have this building characters for Doctor Who that look like little Lego Figurines. You don't know which one you're getting so it's kind of exciting! Once I paid for it, I opened it and laughed my ass off as Amy's head came rolling out of the package. After that little fiasco we headed over to this restaurant called Franky and Bennies (it's a 'New York' Italian Restaurant that we always end up seeming to go to while I'm over there!) We spent about two hours there talking, mainly about Doctor Who which is just fine! We also spoke a bit about our exciting weekend we had planned in London and around Sheffield. :D After that we headed back to PBo's house and I was overwhelmed by just how big of a Doctor Who collection he has! He even has this Dalek that will answer certain questions! I accidentally knocked off it's eyestalk at one point and died laughing when it started flailing around yelling that it's vision was impaired! I had brought my iPad along with me and was a bit sneaky trying to get some of his neighbor's internet connection as he didn't have internet set up in his house. We watched some videos, including Matt Smith's interview on Craig Ferguson and the New York Doctor Who premiere. We also showed him some photos of our trip to London as well as the videos we had stuck on a USB for him. :)
PBo had to get up early for work and since it was getting later we decided to head out. Unsurprisingly I was hungry, or at least, I knew I'd be hungry by the time we got back to Nic's house. So we stopped at an ASDA that was just down the road to get some food. I got this Quorn Shepherd's Pie and rolled around laughing when I found a Doctor Who cake!
I also got some cheese and bread to make grilled cheese since one of Nic's friends is coming over tomorrow. And I just don't understand how people can survive without grilled cheese at least once every few weeks! I have to admit that the shepherd's pie wasn't all that great, haha! But I still had a ton of mini-cheddars to eat so I went upstairs (Nic and her dad were staying downstairs because apparently it was too hot upstairs) and spoke to my sister and dad on Skype! :D <3 I asked my dad to leave some comments on my photos on facebook and he sure did, totally made my night! :D
