Going Back to England: Fourth Trip To England [Day 09]

Aug 04, 2011 15:23

I woke up pretty early today with a stupid perssistant stomach ache! :( Since Nic wasn't up I decided to catch up on the vlogs that I watch on YT (Shaytards and Katersoneseven mainly. Once Nic was up we had some lunch and watched Doctor Who, of course! We were going to meet up with several of her friends (who have turned into my friends as well <3) at the bowling alley. But we left an hour before we were supposed to be there as Nic needed to get some things from the mall. I didn't need to buy anything (for once!) so I just went to Starbucks and got myself something to drink, because I'm awesome like that. :) We got to the bowling alley a little bit later than expected but it turned out to be ok and everyone else was there! I gave everyone big hugs because I basically hadn't seen them in almost a year! It didn't seem to matter that we were a bit late because they had to fix something with the lanes. So we killed time by playing in the arcade area. I don't even attempt the driving games, though, because I seriously suck at them! Haha!

Eventually they fixed the lanes so we went over and ordered our shoes. I have to keep reminding myself the shoe sizes are different over there, otherwise I would have gotten shoes twice the size I normally wear! And my feet are pretty big as it is! We chose one lane and two games, which is fine by me, because I'm not all that great at bowling. But I don't cheat with the barrier! haha! :D One of our friends was choosing everyone's names to put up on the screen and I somehow got Yanky Doodle! I didn't even realize as I didn't have my glasses on and the only time I noticed was when I first went to bowl and was closer to the screen. Those sneaky Brits! ;) They also thought it'd be ok to sing Yankee Doodle if I wasn't paying attention when my turn was up, LMAO!

After our two games were done (unsurprisingly, I didn't win, but I also wasn't last! haha) two of our friends had to leave, but the rest of us went to this Italian restrauant that was close enough that we could walk! We spent almost two hours in there and I got pizza and cheesecake. You can take the girl out of New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl! :) When we got home we relaxed for a bit before going to bed.
