I hate to do it.

It's 10:30 am and the outdoor temp is already above the indoor temp.

I've shut all the windows *sigh*

It's our best defense to keep the house as cool as possible. *sigh*

Soon as the temps equalize tonight, I can open them again. But I don't expect that to happen until about 10 tonight.

SSSIIIGHHHH

Time to setup the pool me thinks!

Those exchange fans make such a big difference - we cool the whole house down by having just two of them (tho I think having 4 would improve even that :>)

Hope the day isn't too hellish for you!

I had fun last night experimenting with our box fans in the windows in different configurations... using pinwheels to detect air flow. =D

But if I had them running now, they'd make the house WARMER.

Currently it's 78 inside and 93 outside (in the shade).

Peter suggested pointing the fan *into* the window, thereby blowing more warm air outside (he does that and it seems to work :>).

Today seems a little cooler... Last night was a Sweat Fest...

And we're still painting K's room... Damn I'm crazy

Ya Scott's a "fan" (har har) of the Fan Out method too.

I found I was able to effectively cool the 3 bedrooms by having two box fans blowing out the living room windows on High speed.

I built myself some little pinwheel breeze detectors to test it out even. ;-)

I wish it was warm enough for a pool. We just have the Fall lake of rainwater collecting on the roof next door. Already.
